Our Mission
An Issue That Will Always Exist
The mission of Jacoby’s Shield is to help parents, grandparents and siblings grieving a death of a child find connection and healing. Our vision is that no parent, grandparent or sibling should be alone in grief. We expect to achieve this vision by helping the entire family unit move through their grief together as one.
Death is inevitable, and there will always be parents and siblings struggling with the tragic loss of loved ones. We want to ensure that grieving families are not forgotten, and provide them with the preventive programs and individualized services necessary to begin their healing process.
Our Superhero 5K Fundraiser
Calling All Superheroes!
Join us for our 2025 Superhero 5K, where we walk alongside those who have lost a loved one. Lace up, dress as your favorite superhero, and make a difference. Your participation supports our mission of providing comfort and resources to grieving families. Register now to become a superhero for a day and make a lasting impact. Together, we can bring strength and support to those who need it most.

Jacoby's Journey Group
Jacoby’s Journey Group is an ongoing in-person community designed to support individuals in grief, especially parents, grandparents, and adult siblings. It provides a safe space for people to connect and share their experiences as they navigate this often overwhelming path.
When: Usually the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 - 8:00 pm Eastern.
