Xaviera Latta

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Xaviera Latta was born and raised in the Midlands of SC. She graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and a Master of Education in Divergent Learners. Xaviera also has taken post-graduate courses in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of South Carolina.

As a certified Special Education teacher, Xaviera has taught in the public school setting for nearly two decades in Lexington District One, Newberry County and Lexington Richland Five, where she was also an administrator. Her primary area of focus was working with students with mild to moderate disabilities at the secondary level and writing individual education plans for these students that were implemented in the general education setting. In 2011, Xaviera knew that she wanted to be home with her children and to be able to homeschool them and made a faith move and began her own special education consulting firm, SMART IEPs. She has been able to help many families navigate through the special education process and teach them how to advocate for their child's educational needs. With the support of her family and word of mouth, Xaviera continues to help families in South Carolina. A few years later, she saw another need: to help families better prepare for retirement and the untimely death of a loved one. Out of this came Latta Educational and Financial Solutions (LEFS) where Xaviera and her husband, Stuart help educate families on how to spend, save, insure, and plan wisely for their future. Little did she know then that God was pruning her for another life's event during that time. An event that would forever change the lives of Xaviera and her family.

Xaviera is happily married to the love of her life, Stuart and they have 4 children: Jasmine, Josie, Jacoby (forever 3) and Jaison.
